About What Buildings Can Learn from Nature: Biomimicry 101

Through biomimicry (or nature-inspired innovation), how can built environments in cities be shaped to function like rainforests? Join the team from bioSEA, an ecological and biomimicry design firm that seeks to answer this very question, and uncover the answers nature has offered. With their biomimicry design toolkit as a guide, learn the basics and see how nature (such as termite mounds) could inform the design of building skins. Share your ideas and co-create biomimicry-based solutions with fellow participants.

No prior knowledge of biomimicry is needed.

This session welcomes adults with an interest in learning from nature. It is also recommended for those with a background or interest in architectural design or related fields looking to build more sustainable practices.
