About Here is SG

Here is SG (HISG) is a photo-spot located at the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade. The sculpture features the SG trust mark and represents the Passion Made Possible brand, which articulates stories about Singapore, its endless possibilities, and the passions of Singaporeans. 

HISG also serves as a piece of urban furniture, where members of the public can lounge on and take in views of the skyline. Its anamorphic forms are an embodiment of the Singapore story, where people from different walks of life have come together to create an iconic sculpture — much in the same way that Singapore was built. HISG was brought to life by Singapore’s contemporary design studio PHUNK, local design to fabrication consultancy Superstructure, and urban greening specialists Greenology, in consultation with experts in the fields of branding, sustainability, construction and lighting design. 

Designed with sustainability in mind, HISG consists of features such as a solar panel system and is built from sustainably certified reconstituted timber. These features represent Singapore’s ambitions as a sustainable urban destination.
