Learn about the fundamentals of production design and the role of the space in Virtual Reality Filmmaking titled “VR Film Design for Social Good”. The talk covers 2 pillars; Design Futures – curating immersive spaces of culture and identity to build social connections between the present and the future, and Design Impact – Creating awareness of social issues in the community through immersion and embodiment of roles, behaviours, choices and values.  The two speakers in this talk include: the following speakers:

Jonathan Foo: Jonathan is the CEO of Vue Networks, a strategic partner of the Singapore University of Social Sciences for more than a decade.  Jonathan has designed 8 level-3 courses as part of the Bachelor of Digital Media, was awarded SUSS’s Innovation Seed Grant 2017 for research and received a Lecturer Service Award in 2020.
Chew Keng Hao who is currently a Research Assistant with Vue Networks. He research work centres around the Design of VR experiences in invoking empathy
