OUR FUTURE NEIGHBOURHOODS: RE-THINKING PLACE AS AN ECOSYSTEM

About Our Future Neighbourhoods: Re-thinking Place As An Ecosystem

We often see placemaking within the neighbourhood as what kind of facilities or activities we can introduce to activate the space. However, the neighbourhood ecosystem is much more complex, involving more stakeholders than we normally consider for.

In the near future, where work from home, ageing in place and other trends become more the norm than the exception, we need to take a more holistic and integrated lens toward placemaking within our neighbourhoods.

This collaborative workshop hopes to bring together stakeholders from different segments of the neighbourhood ecosystem to co-create new possibilities for our future neighbourhoods by considering what a sustainable neighborhood ecosystem might look like.
