About Offcut Factory x Trigger Design Collection One: Ridges

This collaboration is a fusion of Offcut Factory’s materiality adroitness, Trigger Design’s creative expertise and finesse of local craftsmen. Thoughtfully informed by the principles of sustainability, there will be a total of five collections and with each, differing approaches and materials will be explored. ​

The launch venue of the Ridges collection is supported by one of Offcut Factory’s partner in sustainability, Birds of Paradise Gelato Boutique. Bonded through a harmonized similarity, the Gelato and the Ridges Collection are thoughtfully crafted with intent from various ingredients. ​

Both seeks to pay homage to every element used, from the citrusy flavor of the Blue Ginger to the earthen warmth of Asian Brown Oak.​

Upcoming launches will follow suit in the coming year. Despite offcuts coming off as single, obscure pieces, the studios believe that using arithmetic operators as an influence would steer the collection to be honest and fresh. The collection is crafted by local craftsmen and produced in limited quantities. ​

It will take on the narrative of works designed and crafted in Singapore by Singaporeans. Every piece of the collection promises to be a part of your daily lifestyle, to be fully functional and beautiful at the same time. The offcuts used are also celebrated – redefining the commonly used quote “trash to treasure”.

Organisers

Offcut Factory and Trigger Design 

The collaboration between Offcut Factory and Trigger Design was borne out of both studio’s interest to launch a series that showcases even more opportunities from using offcuts as a material source.

Working alongside local factories and craftsmen, the collaboration wants to celebrate the beauty in work done in Singapore.
