DESIGNING DESIRABLE FUTURES: AN INTRO TO FUTURES THINKING

About Designing Desirable Futures: An Intro to Futures Thinking

“Are we arranging deck chairs on the Titanic?”

When organisations use design thinking as an approach to innovation, how far ahead are they really looking? Are there larger opportunities and risks of the longer term future that might be overlooked?

As a one-off special in conjunction with Singapore Design Week, Studio Dojo is offering a full-day experiential workshop to introduce how the field of futures thinking could enable individuals and organisations to thrive in an increasingly complex world.

In this experiential workshop, get a taste of a futures thinking process by reflecting on what could your work look like in the year 2100.

Embark on a guided journey to explore why you think of the future the way you do, what are other possibilities, and how could such reflections be useful alongside design processes.

 What you can expect

  • A taster of some aspects of the futures thinking process
  • An introduction to key mindsets
  • A discussion of how design and futures thinking could intertwine
  • Resources to support your journey
