DESIGN RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE FUTURE

About Design Responsibility for the Future

Design will increasingly play a decisive role to improve people’s lives, providing a positive impact on the natural environment.

Sustainability is becoming an integral part of any design process and it is about trying to balance people’s need with the natural environment, minimizing the impact and embracing this change for a better future. Emerging technologies and materials are making it easier to create new design objects that have a reduced impact on the natural environment. At the same time, it is necessary that designers provide more eco-friendly products, experiences and solutions, and adopt sustainable practices.

On this seminar, Italian and Singaporean scholars and designers will discuss the impact of new materials and sustainable processes for the future of design.
