T.I.N.K.E.R Into the Unknown!

ABOUT

Designers are known for their ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to make the world better. However, they do not inherently possess these skills. Instead, they consciously nurture their design mindsets, foster empathy to unearth unexplored opportunities and embrace experimentation.

This workshop aims to instill an awareness of these design mindsets in its participants, enabling them to tackle challenges creatively and confidently T.I.N.K.E.R into the Unknown to effect societal change.

Geared toward students from 11 to 15 years old, the workshop immerses participants in captivating scenarios, prompting them to assume fictional personas to devise solutions for everyday tasks. It also introduces a hands-on approach, teaching participants to think with their hands, which facilitates the birth of novel, imaginative concepts.

This collaborative effort is brought to you by VIVITA and creative student ambassadors from Yishun Town Secondary School, as part of the DesignSingapore Council’s Learning by Design programme. It aims to empower the next generation with the tools to shape a more innovative and empathetic world.
