Future Impact: Homecoming Showcase

ABOUT

Six of Singapore’s most progressive design talents shared fresh works embodying sustainability and future-focussed thinking in the Future Impact exhibition during Milan Design Week in April. From the world stage to home shores, the showcase returns to Singapore for SDW 2023.

Future Impact, curated by Tony Chambers and Maria Cristina Didero, and presented by the DesignSingapore Council (Dsg), emphasises the urgent need for sustainability in design and production today. The showcase of furniture and objects highlights Singapore as a design-led hub of innovation and creativity in which impactful design solutions and technology intertwine to shape a brighter future for all.

See innovative solutions that employ cutting-edge technologies and poetic storytelling by Forest & Whale, Viewport Studio, Gabriel Tan, Nathan Yong, Studio Juju, and Tiffany Loy in this special pop-up at the National Design Centre.

Singapore has long been at the forefront of forward-thinking urban solutions and this showcase represents how Singapore design can contribute positively toward issues such as sustainability, the evolution of craft, and the role of technology in design, for a future better by design.
