ABOUT
Synergy is a creative tech event and platform that brings together the worlds of art and technology. As part of Singapore Design Week, the role of design will be highlighted within the creative technology space. Relevant topics include but are not limited to UX and UI design, interaction design, industrial design, game design, spatial design, design research, etc.
Roundtables (invite-only)
Small, private group conversations centred around specific questions or issues urgent to the community, with notes and takeaways published after. The topic to be discussed is: “How can design agencies ensure sustainable revenue streams and explore alternative business models in a landscape increasingly shaped by AI?”
Roundtable leaders: Jake Tan (Serial) and Raja V (Kult)
Human Library: Designing the Future
“Designing the Future” Human Library will focus on liveable and loveable Singapore and will feature 8 “human books” across four dynamic tracks: “Space”, “Product”, “Accessibility” and “Art”. Four speakers will be featured for 30 minutes, and each ticket covers an hour-long session of conversations with eight “books”.
Ars Electronica sharing
The representatives from the BeFantastic-organised group and NUS Interactive Materials Lab will share their experience at the biggest art and technology festival in the world! It will cover the process, the programmes, international trends, and comments on future attendance. Featuring Debbie Ding (artist) / Clement Zheng (NUS Interactive Materials Lab) / Kamya Ramachandran (BeFantastic)
Creative Tech PechaKucha
This popular programme format has been rotated among various creative technology groups since 2023. This edition challenges the prevailing notion that the experimental and the impactful seldom intersect. Speakers will explore the paradox of “experimental impact” and demonstrate that avant-garde explorations are not only compatible with effectiveness but can even enrich it.
