ABOUT
Re-Route: Orchard (RR: OR) invites festivalgoers to enrich their experience of Orchard Road as they explore the district through curated design installations and interventions.
With design as its central medium and the theme “Be Here Now,” RR: OR encourages visitors to actively engage with the place as it is today. The festival highlights design’s role in adaptation and celebrates its transformative capacity, illustrating how design influences and shapes the fabric of a locale.
Join RR: OR from 26 September to 6 October 2024 and visit spots along this iconic street that may sometimes be overlooked and delve into the continual evolution of the district’s character. Look forward to unique activations such as Offshoots Route, Orchard Road’s very own stamp rally; visit a collective design showcase responding to the theme of Adaptive Reuse, and bring the little ones to Far East Plaza to enjoy a nostalgic playscape reminiscent of old hangouts. Amongst these explorations, spot the Re-Route “Giant”, a visual metaphor symbolising big strides, big impact and major influences from the past and of our imagined future.
