ABOUT
Join ThinkPlace in designing sustainable social futures through designing with inclusivity, exploration and play:
(a) Inclusivity – Design Beyond Generations: This co-design session seeks to tackle biases and promote age-inclusivity in design from an ageing population perspective. Elderly participants are invited to share their invaluable perspectives as the voice of users. Designers, caregivers, ageing-care professionals and anyone interested in enhancing the well-being of the ageing population are welcome to co-create an age-inclusive design framework, addressing biases and ageism in design.
(b) Exploration – Jugaad Safari: This action learning experience challenges conventional design notions through the exploration of everyday innovations. Participants will be introduced to the concept of Jugaad (frugal innovation) before exploring the surrounding area, capturing their own Jugaad discoveries and discovering their origins with local “designers”. Through this collaborative process, participants will co-create an archive of Jugaad discoveries that can be appreciated by all.
(c) Play – Policy Playground: In today’s rapidly evolving world, traditional approaches to policy development often fall short in addressing the multifaceted issues we face. This workshop is designed to empower you with the tools, mindset, and collaborative spirit needed to push the boundaries of conventional policy-making and drive meaningful societal change. Connect with passionate individuals, engage in dynamic discussions, and tackle real-world challenges with innovative solutions.
