ABOUT
This session provides practical insights into the role of intellectual property (IP) in design innovation, highlighting how designers can protect and commercialise their ideas through strategic use of IP rights. It addresses a critical gap in design practice—the ability to translate creative concepts into sustainable, real-world impact—by equipping designers with the tools to retain control over their work and build viable ventures around their creations.
Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how IP underpins long-term innovation, supports ethical growth, and strengthens the creative economy. The session will also introduce IPOS Group’s support for enterprises and creators, aimed at empowering them to better manage and leverage their IP assets.
By bridging design and IP, this programme contributes to a more resilient, forward-looking design ecosystem that delivers both societal and economic value.
