HOW TO BE KIND
About How to Be Kind
How can you contribute to building a caring and inclusive society without exercising compassion for yourself? Spoiler alert: you can’t. In this interactive discussion, join the team behind hello empathy, a conversation card game to deepen awareness and understanding of individuals on the autism spectrum, and civic centre and consultancy Common Ground as they introduce simple steps you can take to exercise empathy for yourself and the communities you seek to support.
To learn more about the projects, visit the Good Design Research pop-up exhibition – A Day in the Life at Bugis+.
How To Be Kind is a Community Event of SDW 2022.
About Featured Speakers
In 2019, Trecia Lim started WeCreate Studio, an architectural and design consultancy for social good. They direct their design and project management capacity towards working with the non-profit sector and less-privileged communities. As part of the Good Design Research initiative, they have collaborated with Xopo Design, a business design consultancy that blends business thinking and design thinking to drive agility in the digital age, to develop hello empathy.
Common Ground is a civic centre that seeks to facilitate the critical partnership between people, government agencies and the private sector to address pressing national concerns. The centre helps to develop self-awareness and strategic skills to create wholeness in relationships, organisations and communities.
