DINNER ON THE EDGE: EXPERIENCING AND EMPATHISING WITH FUTURES
About Dinner on the Edge: Experiencing and Empathising with Futures
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.”
― Helen Keller
In a world of constant change, how does one imagine and explore possible futures? More importantly, how might one experience and emphathise with these futures?
Designing the future takes a lot of heart work.
Deloitte’s Center for the Edge thinks through the big and small questions on important topics such as sustainability, the next internet, and the future of work. These topics affect everyone, even if its urgency is not widely felt today. Beyond thinking about these big ideas, it is crucial to frame these issues in a relatable manner.
To do so, they believe that people need to move beyond thinking about these issues to begin feeling it. Only when people feel a stake in building such a vision could we begin to galvanise collective futures.
