ABOUT
As digital products weave deeper into our daily lives, their environmental footprint often goes unnoticed. This workshop invites participants to explore how sustainability can be seamlessly integrated into user-centered design.
Participants will discover how sustainable digital practices can actually enhance usability, performance, and accessibility. Through real-world case studies and interactive activities, the session showcases how thoughtful digital design choices—like reducing page weight or extending the lifespan of a service—can lead to both environmental and user benefits.
Attendees will gain a holistic understanding of the digital product lifecycle and learn how to apply practical tools and principles to design lighter, more efficient, and more responsible digital experiences. The hands-on group exercise will challenge participants to redesign a digital product with sustainability in mind, followed by a collaborative discussion on implementation challenges and opportunities.
This workshop is tailored for UX/UI designers, developers, product managers, and anyone keen to align digital innovation with sustainability. No prior experience in green design is required—just curiosity and a willingness to rethink the digital status quo.
