ABOUT

A Designathon to Empower Singapore’s Young and Ageing Population to Actively Participate and Contribute to the Economy. Visa is excited to be supporting Singapore Design Week’s theme, People of Design, by hosting a designathon to support everyday Singaporeans in using design led practices, methodologies, and techniques to explore ideas that provide the opportunity for Singapore’s young and ageing population to actively participate in and contribute to the economy. Singapore’s ageing population is the fastest growing segment and with the retirement age soon to increase from 63 to 64, Singapore’s ageing population is increasingly being encouraged to work further into their older years. At the other end of the spectrum, Singaporean youth are re-evaluating their relationship with full -time ‘office’-based work as they seek greater work/life balance and alternate ways to support themselves financially. Come together with other ‘People of Design’ and Visa design and innovation leaders to define solutions that create equitable access to Singapore’s economy!
