ABOUT
Design Leaps: From Creative Confidence to Design Futures @PDD invites visitors to explore SIT’s Punggol Campus which serves as a vibrant innovation hub for students, industry and community, bringing applied learning and research to life. Curated by the SIT Design Innovation Faculty, the cluster showcases two events.
–
Make // Shift – Creative Confidence at Home, at Work, and in the World
This exhibition explores the power of Creative Confidence – the belief that everyone can be creative – through stories and innovations that begin at home and ripple out into communities. From frugal innovations with limited resources, to finding creative ways to carve out “class time” at work for emotional well-being, to healthcare solutions that uplift the entire society, the exhibition highlights how small acts of creativity can lead to meaningful change. Each story reminds visitors that it’s often the mindset and approaches through small things – done with intention and imagination – that truly count.
This event is supported by National Library Board and Singapore Institute of Technology.
–
Design Your Futures – Student Design Innovation Exhibition
This exhibition invites you to experience how SIT is nurturing the next generation of innovators. Engage with a showcase of innovative projects by their undergraduate students from diverse disciplines and witness the transformative power of the Design Your Futures (DYF) approach. SIT’s unique DYF pedagogy pairs the Design Thinking process with a Futures Thinking approach, where project outcomes offer a glimpse into a future where complex problems are approached with empathy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative thinking. DYF equips their students with the skills to tackle real-world challenges and shape the future. This DYF showcase is a celebration of the power of design to shape a better world.
This event is supported by Singapore Institute of Technology.
